About
My name is Tabitha, and I make bead jewelry.
(Hi, Tabitha.)
It started in the fall of 2008, when my then-boyfriend’s mother took me upstairs and showed me a desk full of tiny, colorful beads, in all different shapes, and said: “Don’t you just want to eat them?” (And I did. They all just looked so edible.)
She taught me some basics, and I made my first necklace. I’ve been hooked ever since. (Oh, and my then-boyfriend recently became my husband, so my bead teacher is now also the greatest mother-in-law on the planet.)
Now, a year later, I’ve realized that as much fun as it is to make bead jewelry, it could be even more fun to write about it, too.
See, before I started beading, I was a writer. And I haven’t stopped writing, by any means. But for whatever reason, I’d never thought to combine my two favorite hobbies into one…until now.
This could be the start of a beautiful friendship.
